In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 5 people are estranged from their families, with numbers on the rise (Stand Alone, 2015). Yet it is an area of relationships that has received little attention from psychotherapeutic theory, research and training.

Dr Samantha Barcham will be running a two-part live CPD webinar on Working Therapeutically with Family Estrangement on 8th and 15th November, 18:00-20:30 GMT. Read about and register here: https://lnkd.in/eDpajN8Y

During the webinar, you can expect to:

1. Delve into a comprehensive understanding of family estrangement
2. Examine the intricate tapestry of causes and reasons behind family estrangements
3. Explore the far-reaching consequences and profound impact that family estrangement can bring to bear on the individuals directly involved
4. Analyse the emotional, psychological, and social implications
5. Discuss the profound implications and intricate effects of confronting loss
6. Delve into the potential life issues that may arise as a consequence of family estrangement
