Weight loss imaging
This group is designed to develop your sense of being in charge of your weight management by using a new technique of working with images.
- This group is NOT about diets. Instead, we develop a flexible, balanced approach to eating.
- It is NOT about vigorous physical exercising - we aim to develop a caring and compassionate attitude towards the body which promotes 'right for you' physical activity.
- It is NOT about weighing or calories counting - instead we measure the sense of being in control of your weight
- It is NOT about strict goals or targets - instead we develop confidence with making things happen around weight, increasing motivation to move forward.
All positive outcomes are achieved via supportive atmosphere and psycho-educational elements, such as weight loss imaging (using images to gain and sustain insight and motivation to keep going with weight management), mindfulness (purposefully paying attention to what helps and hinders weight management), and evidence-based information (research facts which aid understanding of weight management in the context of health and society).
