Understanding Substance Misuse Course - CPCAB - USM - L2 - Starting Mid January - Evenings
This course is designed for Professionals and Individuals who wish to develop their knowledge of substance misuse in order to: -
Raise awareness of substance misuse and its consequences
Improve the knowledge, awareness understanding and effectiveness of those
- Currently working in the filed of substance misuse.
- Supporting people involved in substance misuse.
- Working to prevent substance misuse.
This is a stand-alone course leading to a nationally recognised qualification. However, students may wish to consider progression to Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ’s in Health and Social care, or Level 2 and/or Level 3 in counselling Skills/Theory.
Term Dates: 16th January 2013 to 27 March 2013
Course Times: Wednesday Evening 6.30pm to 9.30 pm.
Guided Learning Hours: 10 weeks at 3 Hrs per week = 30 GLH.
Entry Requirements: No previous experience or training required. Min age 16.
Assessment Information: Internally assessed portfolio externally verified by CPCAB.
Course Objective: To raise awareness of Substance Misuse and its consequences.
USM-L2 is accredited by the Office of the Qualifications & Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) into the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The qualification number for USM-L2 is 500/4684/6.
