CPD - understanding autism

With over 70% of individuals with autism experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, it is likely that you will encounter clients with this diagnosis. Autism can and does impact how you need to work as a therapist.

This workshop is aimed at challenging your perception of what autism is in order to help you understand how to support individuals with this diagnosis. We will look at the challenges that they face and the impact of living with autism from the perspective of the individual and the family around them. We will also look at what levels of support are needed and how you can help them reach their full potential in therapy.

This will be an experiential and interactive learning environment.
