The British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) is offering this workshop

What is trauma? How does it come about? When are our clients exhibiting trauma reactions as opposed to the effects of grief and loss? How does trauma manifest in the fertility counselling room? How do fertility counsellors support clients experiencing both past and current trauma? What’s the small “t” and what’s the big “T”?

This is an interactive workshop for counsellors aiming to:-

  • Explore perspectives on trauma within the field of infertility.
  • Develop awareness of the meaning and identification of trauma and how it presents in the fertility counselling room with individuals and couples.
  • Identify interventions and skills which can be helpful when dealing with past and current traumas.
  • Consider the impact on counsellors of vicarious trauma.

To book please visit the BICA website: bica.net and go the events page.
