It’s hard to imagine that for many of us there was a time not so long ago when we didn’t know what a mobile phone was. We couldn't imagine something like the internet or social media and many of us only had four or five television channels at home.

Modern technology has undoubtedly brought with it many benefits, especially during Covid-19 and lockdown times. However, what is the price for our mental health? Is modern technology really friend or foe? How do we recognise its impact on anxiety, depression, body image issues, self-esteem and so much more? How attached have we become to it and what's it like to be parted from it?

This workshop aims to explore and understand the impact of technology and the modern world on our own mental health and that of our clients. We will be taking a balanced view, looking at the positive and negative associations of technology and how both we as therapists and our clients can use it as a tool for positive change.

Although primarily aimed at counsellors, psychotherapists and others involved in the mental health field, this workshop is open to anyone who has an interest in exploring more the impact of technology on our mental health.

Our next workshop will take place online via Zoom on the 8th January 2022 from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are £90 each with a £10 Early bird discount until 31/09/21 using promo code TMW22.
