Tax made easy for counsellors
Counselling in Notts has teamed up with a local accountant and book keeper to bring you tax made easy for counsellors. In collaboration with Chaworth Associates and Burchell Studholme Bookkeeping, we will be breaking down the jargon, demystifying the facts and helping you leave knowing what a tax allowable expense is.
So if you’re thinking about setting up in private practice in 2019, you set up last year and will be completing your 1st tax return after April, or you’d just like some more confidence in completing your tax return this workshop may be for you.
Fee: £40 full price, £35 student/concession.

The fee is an allowable tax expense, so keep the receipt you’ll be issued to claim off you income and lower the tax you pay.
We will be covering:
- Getting started as self employed
- Introduction to self-assessment
- Jargon busting
- Calculating taxable profit
- Tax allowable expenses for counsellors
- Tax liability (When do you need to pay tax)
- Record keeping.
The workshop includes:
- Handout notes and templates to take away
- Three hour CPD certificate
- Drinks and snacks.
