‘Enlightening’, ‘Moving’, ‘Inspirational’, ‘How can we ignore this?’

These are just a few of the comments from counsellors, psychotherapists, health and social care professionals who saw the widely-acclaimed documentary 'Resilience' in Manchester recently.

‘Resilience: The Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope’ is an engrossing study of how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can be linked to destructive behaviour and medical diseases; in other words ACEs predict susceptibility to heart disease, stroke and other physical health conditions as well as emotional problems and mental ill health. The film will be followed by a facilitated discussion on the theme 'How do we respond practically to the insights the film offers?'

Delighted that we’re able to repeat the event and raise ever more awareness of the behavioural effects and long-term health implications of Toxic Stress & Adverse Childhood Experiences.

‘Great film: Great discussion’ – join us on Monday 14th May - 3.30pm to 5.20 approx. at the Odeon WARRINGTON, an easy access venue close to M62 Junction 8.
