Reflective supervision practice group
This group, led by Dr. Anna Harvey, is a valuable opportunity to discuss your working issues within a supportive group setting - as well as to learn theory to enable you to think more broadly and effectively. You will develop new skills for your own work as well as to take back into your workplace.
Although individual dilemmas and practice issues will be the main focus of the reflective supervision practice group, we will also develop the supervision and reflection skills of the participants so that they may take the process into their work place.
We will draw on both psychoanalytic and systemic theory to inform our understanding of the dynamic processes. Group reflection allows for a sensitising towards risk and helps to bring clarity to confusing, conflictual situations.
Each group will be followed by a theory seminar where articles about supervision and reflection processes will illuminate and enhance our learning from experience.
The group meets for five sessions: May 3rd, May 24th, June 14th, July 5th & July 19th.
Dr Anna Harvey, has worked at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic leading seminars for advanced practitioners in reflective supervision for many years. She provides reflective supervision for professionals in highly demanding jobs & is the course lead for the Supervision Practice Development Programme at the Tavistock & Portman.
