One to one training for recently qualified counsellors, established counsellors looking to transition into private practice, or dissatisfied therapists looking for additional input.

Two x 100-minute in-person training sessions plus four x 20-minute follow- up sessions.

Includes free optional use of a therapy room for four hours per week (over 13 consecutive weeks) to see new clients (for in-person attendees).

The program is not explicitly excitable about money and profit. This type of development can be found for free from various sources.

The training is centred on:

1. Reflection of how your personal and professional identity are interwoven.

2. In what way this translates into how you present yourself and how you offer clarity on what you are offering.

3. Critical evaluation and collaboration of any written material, for example, websites and directory listings.

4. Exploring the work required and personal qualities to develop a private practice.

The sessions are run by Tim Potter who has worked with a manageable flow of clients for 22 years. Tim draws upon his own ups and downs, mishaps and mistakes and how he has come to navigate a regular private practice. The course will critically evaluate your approach to private practice based on your needs.

The course is subject to an informal interview.

Course dates: As and when agreed.

Learning hours count towards CPD.
