Free online therapeutic sessions for those struggling with isolation and mental health re: covid19
Support during the Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic
I am aware there is little I can do during the Coronavirus (COVID 19) crisis, however, with the training, skills and experience I have in the world of therapy I want to offer what I can.
Therefore, I am currently offering free online therapeutic sessions to support those struggling with isolation and mental health relating to the Coronavirus (COVID19). These sessions are aimed at providing a point of contact, offering support, someone to talk to, practising techniques to self soothe and ground self during such an anxious period.
I will be using Zoom which is a free video platform online. Zoom has a high standard of data security and confidentiality. Zoom offers additional encrypted security which makes it more confidential than services like Skype and Facetime. You will be sent an invite via Zoom and all you need to do is click on the link and it will connect us once we are both online.
Privacy is of extreme importance so I would recommend when engaging in an online session you will be in a place that is not somewhere where you will be overheard or overlooked. I will be also doing the same, using a private room based within my home which will be free from interruption, just as we typically would achieve in a normal face-to-face therapy session. I will also send out a brief online contract prior to the session(s) to ensure ethical practice and codes of conduct are understood between the individual engaging and myself.
