"My Mummy died" - supporting children with bereavement
This two hour challenging workshop is run by a qualified counsellor and teacher with extensive experience of working with children and adults who have experienced trauma. How honest should we be with children about death? This thought provoking workshop will look at the difficult questions that surround death. This CPD is aimed at practicing counsellors and therapists, counselling students and other professionals that work with children and young people who have lost a close relative. This session will explore the psychology of grief and give some practical ways to support children who are experiencing bereavement.
This training will count towards the CPD requirements of practicing counsellors.

About Maaike Beech
Maaike is experienced in providing one-to-one integrative counselling, relationship and family counselling.
In 2006 Maaike graduated with a BSc degree in Teaching. In 2009 Maaike graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in counselling/social work. She also holds a higher level qualification in counselling and a certificate in counselling supervision.
