Too often we can be very hard on ourselves, carrying around a feeling of being ‘not good enough’ and forget why it is so important to show ourselves acceptance and kindness and care for others before ourselves.
Bringing together evolutional psychology, neuroscience, Buddhist psychology and research this workshop will give you an insight into how our mind and brain functions in relation to why we criticise ourselves, our thinking and behavioural patterns, how we can interrupt these and the benefits that can be brought to ourselves.
Research shows that practicing mindful compassion can:
- Reduce anxiety and depression.
- Increase our resilience, bringing perspective and wisdom when dealing with life's stresses.
- Help us understand and respond to challenging emotions.
- Boost the immune system and help with the management of chronic pain.
Our experienced facilitator, Angie Cameron, who has been a psychotherapist and trainer for over 24yrs and is passionate about inspiring change in people and helping them to grow and excel.
During this workshop Angie will take you through a combination of theory, experiential and mindful compassionate practices, teaching you some techniques that you can practice yourself and with those you work with, which will help you to respond to self-judgement, change thinking patterns and empower you to make different choices.
This workshop is hugely beneficial to everyone, previous mindfulness experience is not required as all you need is an open mind and heart. Let’s make this change within us and help others to make the change as well.
