Mind and body well-being workshop
Do you feel like you are living your life to the full? Would you like to understand more about your emotional and physical wellbeing? Do you feel like you are treading water and want to find some "me" time? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!
Spring Physio and Ashdown Psychology Services are coming together to host a holistic mind and body workshop. We will look at what it means to be physically and emotionally ‘well’, and provide tips and techniques that you can use in your everyday life to optimise your wellbeing.
We will cover areas including:
- What is emotional and physical well-being.
- Stress and how it impacts on our bodies and minds.
- The role of hormones.
- Sleep and diet and how they influence our well-being.
- Strategies for managing stress.
- Positive psychology and how you can use these ideas to enhance your daily life.
The second part of the workshop will be a practical session where you will learn to release common "hotspot" areas of the body. These are areas that tend to become tense and painful when we are stressed. You will also learn stretches and self release techniques to improve your breathing, posture and overall wellbeing.
Kit required: Please bring a pillow/cushion if you would like to (for your own comfort when lying down), and a yoga mat if you have one. A screening form will be sent to you prior to the workshop. This is to ensure that the practical element of the workshop is suitable for you.
