Mental health Mondays - Diploma in mental health studies
Focusing on the world of those with mental health difficulties, this modular programme (if attended in full) achieves a Diploma in Mental Health studies. It is designed for those who support adults with diverse mental health presentations:
- An overview of the mental health framework in the UK.
- How to work in the most appropriate manner to suit the individual.
- The formation/roots of mental health difficulties through to diagnosis and treatment.
- Identification and awareness of anxious, depressed, disorganised and passive-aggressive presentations.
No formal qualifications are required to attend the programme - open to anyone who works in the mental health field. Who would benefit? Support workers, sponsors, trainee and qualified counsellors and therapists, occupational therapists.
