Managing self-care and stress for a healthier life
There are many pressures that we balance in life. These maybe personal, occupational and/or related to the client group we work with or type of work we do. Each can in turn effect the other. Anyone can be susceptible to stress, burn out and compassion fatigue within their roles.
The importance of self-care and resilience cannot be understated but are often not fully understood or applied. This workshop would be suitable for a wide range of professions who would like to learn more.
Workshop aims
- To understand the path to stress, compassion fatigue and burn out
- To define resilience and understand what it means
- To Introduce ideas around self-compassion and boundaries that support self-care and a healthier life
- To explore the benefits of play and downtime as adults in self-care and a healthier life.
This workshop will be facilitated in an informative, relaxed and experiential way. I will also be bringing my own learning and experiences from my work and would like participants to bring their experiences also.
