MA prof practice, counselling and psychotherapy (advanced clinical practice)
Are you a qualified counselling/pyschotherapy practitioner who is looking for an opportunity to gain a higher level qualification that reflects your experience and expertise?
The Minster Centre is currently recruiting for our new post-qualification course, the advanced clinical practice strand (MA professional practice, counselling and psychotherapy) starting in January 2016. This course offers the opportunity to reflect in-depth on their practice, update their knowledge and as well as gaining a postgraduate level qualification. Students will have plenty of opportunities to integrate new perspectives into their clinical work through experiential learning sessions and ongoing in-house supervision groups. In addition, seminars on contemporary theories will be delivered by some of the leading experts in the field.
The courses are designed to meet the requirements of busy professionals. Students will be able to sign up for either the one year post-graduate diploma or the two year MA programme, both of which are validated by Middlesex University. The teaching is delivered in a series of 10 weekend blocks (comprising three full days on Friday/Saturday and Sunday) over the first year comprising the post-graduate diploma.
Students who have registered for the MA will attend three extra weekends and will undertake a piece of independent research in the second year that is overseen by a research supervisor. For further information and application forms please go to http://www.minstercentre.org.uk/training.asp
If you have any queries then please contact the admissions officer, Betti Urmos at Betti@minstercentre.org.uk.
The Minster Centre is proud to offer a unique perspective of psychotherapy and counselling training, as we combine a strong theoretical integrative grounding with an emphasis on the importance of experiential learning.
