LGBTQ+ history and awareness
Things have changed in the UK relating to people’s sexuality; we have gone from a time where some people's sexuality would put them in jail, to a time where there are equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community in the UK and many other countries.
This informative workshop will cover some of the history of LGBTQ+, from laws and people’s rights through time within England and the UK, and the wider history worldwide. From the current death penalty for homosexuals in several countries, to the equal marriage rights movements in countries very close to home such as Northern Ireland.
There will also be a focus on notable LGBTQ+ activists through time and how they impacted history. This workshop is for anyone looking to broaden their knowledge on an interesting subject that is rich in history.
This workshop will last for two hours and will be in a group of up to 10 people in an informal but professional environment. If you would like to discuss this workshop before booking, please get in touch and we can arrange a no obligation time to speak. You will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop.
Price: £35 per ticket.
Dates: Tuesday 6th November - 17.30-19.30.
