If you have a sense of being on auto-pilot a lot of the time and of life passing you by, or your mind is constantly busy and you never switch off; perhaps you are prone to anxiety or depression, or living with a painful condition, then mindfulness-based stress reduction may be able help you.

Through the use of simple meditation and awareness exercises, this practical approach to living fully in the present moment, has helped thousands of people achieve greater balance, vitality and health. It is simple to learn and the benefits can be seen in a relatively short space of time.

This workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of mindfulness-based stress reduction and it will include what mindfulness is, how it can reduce stress and enhance well-being, a variety of mindfulness meditation practices and how we can apply mindfulness in day-to-day life.

If you are interested, please contact me for an application form and to check availability as there are a limited number of spaces. Closing date for applications is 31st October 2016.

Whilst practising MBSR can help to reduce recurrences of anxiety and depression, it is best learnt when you are not in crisis or experiencing serious mental health issues. Counselling can be of help during those times when learning mindfulness may not be appropriate, so please feel free to talk to me about this if you are unsure which would be most suitable for you.

About the host

I am an accredited mindfulness-based stress reduction teacher and an experienced counsellor. I have a genuine passion for the work that I do and regularly see the benefits of MBSR both in my work and also through my own personal practice.
