Introduction to mindfulness
An introduction to mindfulness workshop offers simple practices and routines that will help you to transform your life:
- Meditation exercises.
- Mindfulness practices you can introduce to your daily schedule.
- Gentle physical routines to increase awareness of your body.
We spend our lives either in the future – planning, worrying, inventing countless scenarios, or in the past – remembering, regretting, missing, re-living. Each of those activities brings emotional responses which – it feels – are beyond our control.
Mindfulness teaches us to develop a distance to thoughts, feelings and emotions, as something that we do, not who we are.
Once we see that, we can be more in charge of our lives. By being fully aware of the present moment we take away the power, over us, of what happened in the ‘past’ and what might happen in the ‘future’.
Mindfulness practice helps with stress reduction as well as with managing chronic pain, depression, addiction, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) and some other mental health conditions.
