Introduction to counselling young people

This is a five-day course following the BACP Stage 1 curriculum for Counselling Young People.

This course will be of benefit if you are in your final year of training or a qualified counsellor and preparing to work with adolescents.

Over the five days (all Sundays) you will explore attachment and how young people develop as well as the ethical and legal aspects of working with this age group. Different ways of working will be explored during the course including creative counselling skills.

This is all underpinned by experiential self-awareness work, so vital when working with this age group.
