Inner wisdom: Focusing in therapy
In-person CPD Event in Guildford facilitated by Sandy Gee who is a seasoned Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapist known for her warm and engaging style. She brings her lifelong passion for Focusing to guide you in unlocking your connection to your inner wisdom as a new dimension to your therapeutic practice.
This workshop will introduce the gentle, relational practice of Focusing and how it can seamlessly combine with and enrich any approach to therapy that you currently practice.
Focusing is an alive moment-moment process to connecting to and drawing on our innate just-below-ordinary-consciousness, bodily felt wisdom
The day will offer you:
- Experiential opportunities to explore your own inner connection with your body felt sense.
- How cultivating our own Focusing practice enhances not only our therapeutic presence but facilitates our client's connection to their own inner experience - increasing efficacy and client outcomes.
- How neuroscience and polyvagal theory make sense of the safety and effectiveness of this gentle relational practice. In particular, how it can strengthen our ability to create a safe space for clients and lower the risk of re-traumatisation.
Fee: £65 if booked before 23rd February and £70 if booked from 24th February.
Includes lunch and refreshments.
