A one-day in-person CPD workshop exploring how we understand, are influenced by and use humanistic values in psychotherapy. This workshop is suitable for both trainees and qualified psychotherapists and counsellors.

This CPD workshop will focus on the humanistic values presented by Whitton (2003). Pre-reading this book is not essential.

Aims and learning outcomes

  • To explore humanistic values and how they apply to ourselves and our work as a therapist.
  • To understand the context and origin of current humanistic values.
  • To consider the cultural context of humanistic values.

Training and CPD at Therapy Nottingham

Our in-person training and CPD events are limited to small groups, helping to ensure that you will have plenty of opportunities to engage with other participants and course facilitators. There is a strong element of experiential learning, and you will be encouraged to share with and participate in small and larger group discussions and feedback exercises.

Location

Our service is based in Nottingham city centre at 8 Eldon Chambers, Nottingham, NG1 2NS.

There are easy transport links into the city by train, bus, tram, and road. We do not have any on-site parking available.

Facilities

Drinks and biscuits are provided throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, or there are many shops and cafés within a few minutes walk.

The training room is on the first floor of our building, and there is no lift available.
