Group supervision
An ongoing supervision group for up to four psychotherapists/counsellors occurring on the second Friday of each month, from 9am until 10.30am.
Aims
To offer a trusting, reflective, and conducive environment to explore group member’s counselling/psychotherapy practice. To adhere to the codes of conduct of BACP, UKCP, and HCPC.
To offer supervision which supports group members learning and development. To facilitate reflections and free-associations to the material offered both verbally and non-verbally, encouraging the sharing of emotional responses, observations, and theoretical considerations.
To offer containment, discussion, role play, share techniques and knowledge, use themes rather than clients where appropriate, and to be aware of organisational and systemic influences. To reflect on dynamics with clients by using analytic concepts such as transference, countertranserence, and parallel process as it manifests in the work and in the supervision group.
Hosted by Camilla Matthews
