Working with groups can be an excellent way to engage people in learning, support, self-awareness and creating connection. This workshop will focus on a number of aspects of facilitating groups. The workshop will be a mixture of theory and practical activities to help you feel confident in running your group.

The areas we will cover:

  • Further exploration of facilitating the dynamics of a group. We will refresh and further explore ideas around power, emotion, conflict and diversity in groups and how to actively work with them.
  • We will look at various ways to structure and plan group work. Within this, we will consider differences between therapy groups, support groups, personal development groups and learning groups.
  • We will explore being creative within groups and how we feel about our own creativity.
  • We will consider self-care as a facilitator in order to practice in our roles into the future.

This workshop will be facilitated in a relaxed, informative and experiential way. I will also share my own experiences and learning from groups. Please come prepared to share and learn from others!
