From drama to calmer - psychological tools for Highly Sensitive People
We all know that some conflict is a natural part of being human yet getting into conflict and dramas with other people can be one of the most stressful things for highly sensitive people (HSPs). We feel emotions stronger and for longer than non-HSPs. The negative effects of dramas can trouble us deeply.
Understanding a little about how conflicts are created and ways to resolve them can be very empowering. In this one hour session I'll introduce the drama triangle and the empowerment triangle. These are tools for understanding conflict better and therefore can help you to choose different outcomes.
This is the first in a series of short learning sessions to explain some of the tools from my training as a counsellor in Transactional Analysis (TA). TA is a psychological method that helps people become aware of the dynamics in their interactions so as to solve emotional and relationship problems with compassion. It has many great tools and models to help us navigate our minds and emotions thereby empowering us.
Learning about these tools will give you much more awareness about the underlying, often hidden, drivers of dramas and therefore equip you to better empower yourself.
I look forward to sharing this with you.
