Four week group on parenting at The School of Life
Chancery Lane / Holborn / King's Cross
This is a group specifically geared to parents - and offers them a safe place in which to develop insights around the challenges of having offspring. The group leader has deep professional experience in parenting, but a lot of the ideas emerge from participants themselves. Discussing parenting in a group allows us to gain a host of new perspectives - as well as derive the camaraderie and reassurance of meeting people going through similar struggles and joys.
The group leader is a highly trained psychotherapist who facilitates open, insightful discussions in a kind and encouraging environment. Sessions consist of experiential exercises, supportive conversations, and the development of concrete tools and skills.
There are no more than 12 participants per group.
Session one: A child’s development.
Session two: Relationship issues; co-parenting.
Session three: The influence of parents’ upbringing and trans-generational difficulties and differences.
Session four: Managing emotions and moods (in parents and children).
This is a four-session group running on Wednesdays, 26th September 2018, from 18:30-20:00.
The sessions are held at The School of Life London therapy space, 8 Northington Street, London WC1N 2JQ
