Female only psychotherapy group
Group therapy addresses the human need to belong, be close to others and to express the authentic self in relationship.
The idea of a group is that is is a safe place to look at how the past affects our relationships in the present. The group becomes a nurturing cauldron where we can safely look at this process. Through the relationships that evolve in the group, it is possible to make change happen and to relate in new and more positive ways. As change happens in the group, change is then able to happen in the outside world.
On request I am offering this therapy group for women who want to discover and express their core self in a safe environment. I have a few women who are already interested, but I am looking for two more members. I will limit the numbers to six women.
I have many years experience in running groups, both for training purposes and therapeutic purposes.
I use a variety of approaches (see my biography for more details).
At the heart of group therapy is the empowerment of the individuals in the group.
About Ros Sharples
My core training is in transactional analysis. Which is a therapy about communication and relationship in the here and now.
Previously I trained in process oriented psychology, a therapy that looks at the unconscious processes held in dreams and the body.
I bring these together with gratitude for Irvin Yalom's inspiration in group process.
