Experiential walking therapy workshop
Walk and talk or walking therapy is growing in popularity, not least because many of us feel disconnected from the natural rhythms around us, and from nature itself. We can feel lost in technology, and as if our lives are dictated to by pixels on a screen. This course is designed specifically for counsellors, coaches and therapists but open to all who want to reconnect with their natural self, to learn how to ‘do’ walking therapy, and experience walking therapy for themselves. Following the natural course of the seasons, we will learn, grow and develop our skills together. We will not only reconnect but build, often for the first time, our contact with the world around us. It has been put together by two experienced therapists and coaches and is based in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland in the spaces between the river and Hadrian’s Wall.
This is a combination of personal and professional development, based on the belief that experiential learning changes us in a way which theoretical alone rarely can. As trainers, coaches and therapists we prize doing above showing, and showing above telling.
