Mindfulness seems to be everywhere these days and is increasingly being used in the health service, businesses and schools.
What can it offer you? Perhaps the chance to pause for a while; to detangle some of the thousands of thoughts that compete for attention, or the opportunity to practise some self care instead of self criticism?
Our course it can show you how to get more from the present moment. We’ll explain techniques that can help you to observe patterns in the way you think and act, giving you more choices. We’ll lead you through mindful meditations and other exercises which will help you to tune in to pleasant experiences and learn new ways to handle difficult emotions and thoughts.
You don’t need any previous experience of mindfulness, just interest and curiosity. The atmosphere will be informal, relaxed and jargon-free. There’s no compulsory written work involved, simply a readiness to practise the new skills regularly between sessions. The course is being run by two experienced practitioners, Gill Dunkerley and Jo Saatchi.
If you are in the midst of very difficult mental health issues at the moment this might not be the right time for you to take the course. Please contact us to discuss whether the course is suitable for you.
Course size is limited to 10 people.
