This is a weekend workshop in Brighton for couples that want to be closer. The workshop is held by experienced relationship counsellors. It’s an internationally recognised course based on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). The course approach is outlined in Dr Sue Johnson's book 'Hold Me Tight'.
If you are therapist who is interested in EFT, this is a great opportunity to attend this course with your partner to find out more about the practice of EFT. You don't need to be a therapist to attend this course with your partner.
In this workshop you will be supported to work with your partner to look at the arguments / issues that stop you getting close, and how to keep your love alive.
Working in a group, you benefit from seeing that what you struggle with as a couple, other couples also struggle with. You also get the support of experienced therapists. The course looks at what makes a safe, secure base for a couple. There are videos and educational content to help you better understand each other. Couples are guided through seven conversations, including how to:
- Celebrate strengths
- Understand each other
- Express and clear hurts
- Understand how you hook each other into arguments
- Forgive injuries
- Reconnect through intimacy
- Keep your love alive.
