Eating, shape and weight CPD group
This exciting live short course has been developed by UKCP registered psychotherapist Mandy Atkinson PTSTA (P), CTA (P),MA, Dip. Sup., Dip. Couns., Cert.Ed., CeLTT.,RGN who has many years’ experience in working therapeutically with eating, shape and weight in her psychotherapy and supervision practice,speaking from the voice of the lived experience.
Building on her recently published article, Nourish: A framework for nourishing eating-disordered clients using a structural and relational methodology, (Atkinson, 2023)
Why consider specialist CPD and supervision on disordered eating and eating disorders?
Eating, weight and body issues in the form of disordered eating, eating disorders and obesity are becoming more prevalent in the therapy room.
Building on my research, clinical practice and recent Transactional Analysis Journal publication, Atkinson (2023), Nourish: a Framework for Nourishing Eating-Disordered Clients Using a Structural and Relational Methodology, this exciting new online relational supervision and CPD group will support counsellors and psychotherapists working with eating and weight in their practices.
It will be of interest if:
- You want to develop your knowledge, understanding and confidence in therapy of eating and weight.
- You want to learn more about working relationally with shame.
- You want to learn from shared group experiences.
- You want to develop confidence in working with countertransference and working relationally.
This eating, shape and weight supervision & CPD Workshop will provide:
- Teaching on disordered eating, weight and eating issues and eating disorders
- opportunities for experiential learning
- exploration of case study material with different presentations
- relational supervision experience with shame, eating, shape and weight-related issues
This will be running on a Saturday morning, bi-monthly 10am to 1pm and on Friday mornings both starting from September 2024.

Cost: £390 for six workshops; equivalent to £65 per workshop.
