A one-day comprehensive, training in eating disorders for counsellors, therapists and other mental health professionals, facilitated by Harriet Frew (Accred; MBACP Therapist; MSc Nutrition).

"I wanted to take the time to write and thank you for such an informative and enjoyable training session on Saturday. Your delivery was an excellent combination of factual information and the opportunity for some thoughtful group discussion. The break out rooms worked very well for the smaller groups too. I thought we had a lovely group of people on the course. My thought that a whole days' training on Zoom would be quite arduous. This was not the case at all and the day went very quickly, so thank you! I've just signed up to the Body Image course so I'll see you again in November." - Jo (counsellor)

Join my eating disorders training day - on Zoom, face-to-face or self-paced online.

This eating disorders training will give you:

A good understanding about the different types of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and OSFED, with an introduction to ARFID and neurodiversity and eating disorders.

You will explore typical causes of eating disorders and understand how to create a psychological formulation for your client. This will be brought to life, by relating to client examples.

Harriet will then take you through specific knowledge, skills and techniques, which can be used when supporting clients with eating disorders.

Detailed and comprehensive training manual as an ongoing reference tool.

Access to recording of training afterwards and full online version of course.

Harriet is an integrative counsellor, utilising skills predominantly from motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy. She also draws on other tools that are particularly helpful in working with this client group and sees the client relationship as paramount for healing.
