Domestic abuse is a very complex and challenging issue and every psychotherapist has been or will be presented with a domestic abuse disclosure in their consulting room.
Understanding the dynamics of the abuse is critical to inform effective risk assessment, risk management and appropriate therapeutic interventions when working with survivors of domestic abuse.
