It is ideal but not essential to have attended a foundation course prior to the Diploma course. This course creates a safe confidential space to explore your own sandplay journey alongside your development in working with sandplay with clients. This personal journey helps you to understand the theory and put it into practice. The work we do on ourselves is such a support to our clients as well as ourselves. Many participants find this personal developmental aspect of the course as valuable as the application for client work.

As you progress through the training journey you are actively encouraged to bring case material and photographs to the group for peer supervision (subject to necessary confidentiality).

There is a strong emphasis on the course about developing ways of looking after ourselves and our clients with creativity and compassion. Music, mindfulness and meditation are essential components of developing a nurturing and compassionate presence in your work.

This course is designed for: counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and well-being or mental health practitioners working in education, social services and other settings. All participants will be given a certificate of attendance.
