This introductory workshop presentation will introduce key considerations, ideas and important clinical implications for cultivating and increasing protective factors and resilience for LGBTQ+ clients. Examples will be discussed, and in response to participant feedback from previous events, there will be additional space for group discussion.

This event is suitable for anyone with an interest in working clinically with LGBTQ+ clients, especially incorporating protective factors/resilience factors within clinical formulations. This event is ideal for therapists, psychologists (including trainees/aspiring), occupational therapists, social workers, mental health nurses, teachers, youth workers, support workers, lecturers and anyone else who works with LGBTQ+ people.

Please ensure your name on Zoom corresponds to your order to ensure you are admitted to the event in a timely manner.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) attendance certificates will be emailed out to attendees after the event.

Please note that workshop presentations may include completely anonymised stories or experiences from clients, who have provided informed consent for anonymised aspects to be shared during teaching/training sessions. Any reference to potentially personal identifiable information has been/will be deliberately changed. After providing informed consent to Dr Dunlop, clients were offered remuneration in the form of a discount for their therapy.

This was only offered after they had provided informed consent, to not unduly influence their decision to share or not share such anonymised accounts. For this reason, to respect clients, these live events will not be recorded. If you cannot make the live event and have paid for a ticket, please contact Dr Dunlop who will be able to send you a pre-recorded presentation after the event finishes that does not include anonymised client stories or experiences. Thank you for your understanding.
