Couples counselling training

The course is based on a model of relationship counselling developed by See For Miles Ltd. The Model has been used successfully with hundreds of couples over the last twenty years.

Since 2009 we have developed the course – teaching the model to counsellors – which has increased the number of qualified couples counsellors nationwide and internationally who now work in a specialism which is in great demand.

The course

Developing your existing one to one counselling skills further in the couples counselling diploma course. This is an intense, experiential course providing students with a further understanding of issues relating to various couple work scenarios and same sex relationships. This course (one week module) develops the core principles of couples counselling through both theory and experiential exercises followed by a case study which is used to reflect and build on the skills gained within a supervised environment.

Counsellors qualified in one to one counselling have been taught this model to diploma level and have integrated it into their current practices, therefore expanding their client base into couple and family work.
