This course is designed for counsellors who have been practising for some time as prior knowledge will be assumed.

During the course we will be looking at the difference between working with individuals and working with couples.

Although you will have many transferable skills and theory knowledge, you will be learning new ones to help you in working this way along with an understanding of the terms often used in couples counselling.

We will be looking at the importance of assessments, a more structured way of working and what you will need from your supervisor.

There will be role play throughout the course so you can practice taking your couple through from assessment to an ending in either week five or six.

Some prior reading will be necessary, handouts will be given and you will need to take notes to follow up for further understanding. A book list will be emailed to you at the time you booking the course.

Any pre-course information or prior reading will be sent by email and a CPD certificate will be provided at the end of the course.
