This course will alert counsellors to the needs and thought processes of clients on the autistic spectrum. It will offer tips for improving practice and better outcomes for this group of clients
Topics will include:
- A real difference - what the neuroscience tells us.
- Implications for counselling - aims and methods.
- Links with other medical diagnoses.
- The impact on you, the counsellor.
Felicity Rosslyn is a Relate Couple and Family Counsellor. She has a private practice with families affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Felicity runs ASD information sharing groups in Derbyshire and her “On the Spectrum and in the Room” appeared in the June edition of “Therapy Today”.
