Coping with trauma - Helping clients gain control
Our counselling clients often present with traumatic events in their lives; they may talk about car accidents they have experienced, assaults, experiences of war or complex bereavements. As many clients will present with a variety of trauma-symptoms relating to re-living, avoidance and hyper-arousal, it is important to be able to help a client manage these symptoms.
This CPD focuses on a variety of techniques that aim to give the control back to the client. This CPD is aimed at practicing counsellors and therapists, counselling students and other professionals that work with clients experiencing trauma. This training will count towards the CPD requirements of practicing counsellors.
Our CPD workshops are incredibly popular and spaces are strictly limited. Please book now to secure your place.
