Continuity in a discontinuous world: A case of matricide
In this paper, Carine Minne will present the case of a teenager who carried out matricide. He was treated psychoanalytically in high security, through medium and low security, and back into the community. She will illustrate the changes in his mental states, interpersonal dynamics and mental structural aspects during the long course of treatment. She will also refer to something of the differences in working in a secure setting and in an out-patient setting.
The talk starts at 11am. Registration with coffee/tea and biscuits is at 10.30am.
