Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is ideal for mental health professionals and trainees dedicated to providing inclusive, empathetic, and culturally sensitive therapeutic support to multiracial clients.

About me

As a mixed Black therapist with over six years of experience in private practice, I’ve had the privilege of working extensively with multiracial clients, helping them navigate the complexities of identity, belonging, and cultural dynamics. My personal background as a mixed woman deeply informs my therapeutic approach, allowing me to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel seen and understood.

In addition to my private practice, I have nearly a decade of experience working in diverse communities within the public sector, gaining valuable insight into the intersections of race, identity, and mental health. I also founded a therapy group in 2021, specifically for mixed-race women to process and explore their unique experiences, further deepening my commitment to empowering this community.

This workshop is a culmination of my professional journey and lived experience, designed to equip therapists with the skills and sensitivity to better serve their mixed-race clients.

Topics covered:

  • Understanding the mixed experience
  • Therapeutic approaches for mixed clients
  • Family dynamics and generational patterns
  • Self-awareness and cultural competency

This is a two and a half hour workshop. Each attendee will receive a CPD certificate of attendance.
