Climate cafe for therapists

16th March 2024, 11.00am - 1.00pm
Counsellors and trainees
The Therapeutic Rooms, @ The Courtyard Loft, 170 Brick Lane, London, E1 6RU

If you are concerned about the climate emergency as a therapist and citizen, and regardless of where you are in facing the issue, this is a space for therapists to come together to be supported through sharing and being heard around climate-related feelings as well as to experience and explore one therapeutic model responding to the emergency.

To those who attended in October, please feel free to come again if you'd like the space.

Who is this for?

Psychotherapists, counsellors or trainees, or anyone working in related therapeutic fields.

Why join us?

  • To have the opportunity to experience a climate café.
  • To share your thoughts and feelings about the climate emergency, both as practitioners and citizens.
  • To hear about our experience of running cafes to give you a sense of if you might like to be involved/set something similar up.
  • To be part of a conversation within our therapist community about how we as therapists can work together to meet the existential threats facing us.

What is a climate cafe?

Based on the climate café model devised by the Climate Psychology Alliance, we offer a warm, friendly, welcoming group space, with facilitators, where people who are concerned about the climate emergency can meet and share their thoughts and feelings about climate and related issues. You can find out more here.

This event is free of change and part of the gift economy. Email to book a space.
