Uncovering the power of chair work!

This webinar is suitable for all counsellors, coaches and hypnotherapists.

This unique experience will not be recorded, so secure your spot early to avoid missing out! If you have a discount code, don’t forget to apply it at checkout.

All attendees will receive a free recording at least half an hour before the event! This invaluable resource serves as a refresher for newcomers and a helpful reminder for past attendees, covering the foundational concepts of my approach – essential for this topic and all of my events.

What to expect

In this engaging webinar, we will delve into the transformative power of chair work, an innovative technique that allows us to explore our hidden selves – those parts that may have been suppressed or overlooked. Rooted in the historical field conditions of our formative years, this method is perfect for anyone interested in Gestalt therapy and experiential practices.

Chairwork is not just a technique; it’s a pathway to change for individuals seeking therapy or counselling. By connecting with our core emotions, this approach fosters confidence and self-esteem, guiding both you and your clients toward meaningful transformation.

Throughout the session, we’ll illuminate the chair work process and provide a framework to help you better understand where your clients are in their journey. You’ll learn to address their unconscious needs and tackle unfinished business – those fixed gestalts and limiting beliefs that hold them back.

This webinar is designed to be experiential. Participants will have the opportunity to volunteer for personal exploration or present a client’s case, which may lead to dynamic two-, three-, or even four-chair work. While prior experience with two-chair work is beneficial, it’s not a prerequisite – everyone is welcome!

Learning objectives:

  • Understand that chair work is fundamentally projection work.
  • Discover the importance of using suitable language to support this practice.
  • Learn how to invite clients into chair work without overwhelming them with explanations.
  • Explore the possibilities of conducting chair work over the phone.
  • Recognise that additional chairs are not needed to facilitate effective sessions.
  • Develop skills in listening for the unspoken and identifying what’s missing in the client’s narrative.

Don’t miss this chance to expand your knowledge and refine your skills in chair work. Reserve your place today for an insightful journey into the heart of Gestalt therapy!

Some anonymous (unedited) feedback from January 2025 on Depression. (Via Happiful):

Best lecture I’ve ever been to as a therapist in 20 years. Thank you so much!!

I want to say, I thought this webinar was brilliant. Really practical. Stefan was very engaging. I have attended so many webinars in the past 2 to 3 years that have been a total waste of time. I absolutely loved this and will be able to use a lot of the information in my practice as I like to use a lot of metaphors and regression techniques. Please have Stefan back to deliver more webinars. Thank you once again.

Wonderful experience and well worth spending the time tuning in. Very effective metaphors to explain complex concepts in easy language. Theory of client emotional presentation and practical tools described for practitioners, very informative and the CPD session ensured intent and impact. Will definitely be dialling in to Stefan again!!! A***

This was the best 1 hour webinar I’ve ever attended. Informative and Practical from the beginning, I found it so valuable and am keen to see more of the speaker’s presentations. Thank you! So many webinars are full of preamble and introduction which are a waste of time.

Some feedback from last May "chair work":

I thought it was one of the best short learning events I have attended in the past year. I liked the way you stayed focused on the subject, framing it with the four emotions. I found the concept of two-chair work without two chairs immensely helpful. I have tried two chair work occasionally, with some success I think, but using two chairs felt awkward. I can now use the concept without that awkwardness, and online, and I believe that will make it easier for the client to get into it. I also particularly liked the advice to listen not only to what the client is saying, but also to what is missing from what they are saying. I think I do that anyway, but being reminded of its importance with that simple phrase was very helpful.

So, a really valuable event and I shall certainly use learning from it in my client work. I shall see you again at future events.

P.D. from May 2024.
