Certificate in counselling with bereavement & loss awareness
Entry requirements
An interest and desire to learn about counselling methods and develop further advanced bereavement and loss awareness. Prior counselling qualifications are not required.
Overview
This is a 90 hour course offering an introduction to humanistic theoretical models and their application. It also provides the opportunity to learn and practice counselling skills with other students while developing increased personal awareness.
Combined learning
Flexible learning allows students to complete the course at their own pace over a maximum of 6 months (September 2018 - February 2019). Our combined learning model includes:
- Distance learning course materials.
- Reflective workbook.
- Individual tutorials.
- Face-to-face training.
- Tutor assessed assignment.
- Counselling skills practice sessions.
The face2face training part of this course will be delivered in three venues:
- Derby.
- Guernsey.
- Weston-Super-Mare.
