How can we talk about issues of race?
An exploration of social unconscious processes and personal unconscious bias with Beverley Stobo, group analyst.
Beverley Stobo worked for many years in local authority and voluntary sector settings with young women, children and adults, working individually and in groups. She recently retired from an NHS Mental Health Trust as a group analyst working with complex needs patients in a multi-disciplinary team. She continues her group analytic work in a small private practice working with counsellors, therapists and psychologists in training, running reflective practice groups. Beverley was born in the Caribbean and has a keen interest in issues of race, culture and difference in therapeutic settings and the specifics of cultural difference in current British society. Beverley is a member of the Institute of Group Analysis and is UKCP registered.
The day will include small and large group discussions facilitated by members of the Institute of Group Analysis.
