Breaking intergenerational rules: diet, exercise & body image
"I really don't want to pass on how I feel about food, exercise and my body to my children, but I have no idea where to start!"
If this is something you relate to, our webinar is FOR YOU.
Parents, grandparents, extended networks of friends and family, as well as cultural expectations all shape how we care for ourselves and manage and perceive our bodies and health.
While so much of what we learn from family can be deeply nourishing (learning to bake a cake or lay the table, have fun at a sport or enjoy clothes that make us feel whole), we can also take on unhelpful, damaging beliefs and behaviours from family members.
This is for you if:
- You have any intergenerational difficulties around food, body and exercise
- You want to break these patterns for yourself.
- You are a parent, hope to be a parent, grandparent or guardian who wants to break these patterns for your children.
What to expect from the webinar:
- Understand what unhelpful intergenerational patterns around food, body and exercise are.
- Connect to your own intergenerational patterns around these matters.
- Understand where to begin in starting to break these unhelpful patterns to live a more connected, confident life around food, exercise and body image.
