Awareness of vestibular conditions and their impact on anxiety
This course is aimed at counsellors, trainee counsellors or anyone in the helping
professions that would like to increase their knowledge of what might be going on for their clients. A unique opportunity to learn about something that you may not have considered before.
Stephen Oakley is a vestibular physiotherapist with an unparalleled knowledge of inner ear conditions that affect people and how they manage their day to day life.
Awareness of vestibular conditions is designed to give you information
about the mechanics of the inner ear, what can go wrong, and the affects these
conditions can have on the sufferers. The resulting anxiety can have a lasting
impact on clients long after the symptoms have been reduced, and this is when
clients may seek counselling to help.
- Session one: 'What are vestibular conditions?' by Stephen Oakley
- Session two: 'Working with anxiety resulting from vestibular conditions' by Catherine.
Three hours CPD.
