This seminar aims to provide specialist tools for the assessment and intervention with attachment trauma-related clinical presentations.

Seminar topics

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Understand the theoretical framework of attachment trauma
  • How to establish an accurate assessment of the severity of the trauma and the development of defences
  • Understanding the relationship between unconscious anxiety, attachment trauma, defenses and symptom formation
  • Regulation and re-structuring of anxiety and hyperarousal when working with severe trauma
  • Clinical video presentations

Who is the seminar for?

This seminar is suitable for registered clinicians working in mental health or allied fields. The seminar is also suitable for trainees or professionals (i.e. assistant psychologists) working under the clinical supervision of clinicians registered with an accrediting body. Attendees will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement in order to participate.
