Art and mindfulness
Course led by Claire Walsh Art Therapist & Gail Eglin Family Therapist for adults looking to reduce stress, anxiety and other mood disturbances, and to live more fully in the present moment!
Both practitioners are experienced in working together with adults, young people and families in their work in the NHS. Claire and Gail want to help people who come on the course to be more mindful through being 'artful'. It's not necessary to be accomplished at art or in other creative ways.
We'll be using the art making as a tool to help you to notice thoughts and feelings, and helping you to sit more comfortably and calmly with them. We intend to make the day full of 'serious fun', leaving you with some new coping tools for managing worry and distress.
The group will be limited to a maximum of eight people to offer participants plenty of care and attention, and learning on the day.
Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more about the event and we can post out a leaflet to you.
